Karkala, Apr 20: One person was killed and another was seriously injured when a mobike skidded at Moodbelle near here on Tuesday April 18 night.
While the deceased has been identified as Pradeep alias Annu (24), son of Ratnakar Salian of Nelligudde near Nitte here, the injured has been identified as Rajesh (25), son of Pergu Poojary of Boralgudde near Nitte here.
Both of them were going to attend the mehendi programme of one of their friends Naveen of Kalmadi near Udupi. While Rajesh was riding the bike, Pradeep was riding pillion.
As they reached Bobbarikatte near Moodbelle, the bike skidded and both of them were thrown on the road. As a result both of them sustained serious injuries and were admitted to the hospital. However, Pradeep succumbed to the injuries later in the hospital.
The Shirva police have registered a case in this regard.
