Bhatkal: Two injured after lorry falls from bridge

Bhatkal, Dec 5
: One person was seriously injured when an empty lorry transporting fish from Kundapur to Karwar fell down when the driver swerved to avoid hitting a car.  The incident occurred around 10 pm on the night of Tuesday December 3.
 
Cleaner Nazir Ekkeri, a resident of Bhatkal, was seriously injured. After initial treatment at Bhatkal Government Hospital, he was shifted to Kundapur.

Lorry driver Jawid Khan, a resident of Hosanagar, suffered a minor injury to his hand and was taken to Bhatkal Government Hospital. A case has been registered at Bhatkal town police station.
