Bantwal, Apr 21: The Bantwal town police have arrested five persons in connection with the vandalism at BCI prayer hall at Bantaguri near Modankap here on Thursday April 20.

The arrested have been identified as Anand, Ajekal Gururaj, Deepak, Sudarshan and Sarapady Umesh alias Umanath.

The prayer was attacked on Sunday April 16 alleging conversion activities in the prayer hall.  The accused had ransacked the prayer hall and damaged the valuables.  The pastor Paulose had been injured in the attack.

The Bantwal town police are investigating the case.
