Sharjah April 22: ‘Give Blood save life’ is the most well respected humane appeal. It touches one’s heart and is universally accepted as a noble service one can render to save a life. That your blood is used to give a life to another fellow human is no doubt a most satisfying feeling. One need not be a millionaire to be a part of this charitable gesture. What is needed as a heart to help the needy.

Karnataka Sangha deserves kudos for coming forward to organize such a heart warming event. And this is one of the apt answer to a question which is being recently probed – What are the expectations of a member from his community organsiation?

Blood Donation camp was held on Friday 21st April 2006 at GMC Hospital Ajman. M.K.Madhavan, President, Indian Association Sharjah inaugurated the camp and Tumbay Moideen, President Gulf Medical College was the Chief Guest.

President Ganesh Rai spearheaded the whole event. Patron Dennis D’Souza, VP Prabhkar Ambalathere, Secretary Sathish Poojary and many members tool part in this service.

It was heartening to not that seeing the enthusiasm to the Kannadigas of Sharjah many locals and Arab expatriates came forward and donated blood.

Tumbay Moideen, President Gulf Medical College who was the Chief Guest speaking on the occasion said, Blood donation is one of the best Humanitarian work and it is a very good work done and also happy that Karnataka Sangha Sharjah choose Gulf Medical College for this noble cause, he also said that in future too he will render all his support to Karnataka Sangha Sharjah for this programme.

M.K.Madhavan, President, Indian Association Sharjah in his speech said Karnataka Sangha Sharjah has always was one of the first to give a helping hand whenever there was any natural calamities or disasters, and even today it has done a very good work, and wished the Sangha all the very best for the future.

President Ganesh Rai thanked all the people who supported this event and also who came forward to donate there blood for a noble cause, he was also excited with the response given by Kannadigas and non kannadigas and also some Arab expatriates who came forward for this cause.

VP Prabhkar Ambalathere said that this humanitarian work would always be appreciated by all section of the society as it is helping in saving some ones life.And he is happy to be a part of this programme.

Patron Mark Dennis D’Souza, it is very noble work done by the Sangha and thanked GMC and IAS for its wholehearted support for conducting this programme. He is also said that Karnataka Sangha Sharjah has done so many noble works in the past and has gained a good name in the society. He also thanked all the donors on this occasion.

Secretary Sathish Poojary proposed the welcome and vote of thanks.
