Karkala, Apr 22: Soli Sorabji, jurist and former attorney general of India will be conferred the prestigious Justice K S Hegde Charitable Trust Foundation Award-2006 at Dr TMA Pai international convention centre in Mangalore on Saturday April 29. The award, in recognition of Sorabji’s exceptional contribution to the field of law and human rights, will be presented by National Human Rights Commission chairman Justice A S Anand, said N Vinay Hegde, chairman, foundation .

A lecture on “Challenges to democracy – We have promises to keep” will be delivered by Sorabji on the occasion.
