MIM to hold National Conference on May 19
 
Udupi: Manipal Institute of Management, in collaboration with Small Industries Development Bank of India, Bangalore, will organize a three-day national conference on ‘Small and medium enterprises challenges and opportunities in the global market’ from Wednesday May 19. The symposium will be a discussion on the impact of government policies and development of SMEs in India as well as opportunities for SMEs in the global market.

Foundation Stone of Library Laid

Mangalore: The city will have a new library, located at Valencia Park. The foundation stone was laid recently by MCC mayor K Ashraf.

The library, expected to be open for public in six months, will be built at an estimated cost of Rs 8.75 lakh. Among those present for the ceremony were MCC commissioner Chandrappa, executive engineer Suresh Babu, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde, standing committee on health Kumari Appi, and corporator Kamalaksha Salian.

Chief Minister to visit on April 22

Udupi: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy will arrive here on Saturday April 22 at 7 pm and stay at Kollur. He will visit the Mookambika Temple on Sunday morning and leave for Hosanagar at 9 am, stated a press release issued by  the department of Information.

Capstocks Securities Branch Office Inaugurated

Mangalore: Capstocks and Securities Private Limited branch office was inaugurated by Komals Group chairman Vitobh S Nagvekar here on April 21. The office is situated at Sanu Palace. The ceremony was presided over by corporator Devananda Pai.

Capstocks is a member of the National Stock Exchange of India, Bombay Stock Exchange and Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). It offers online trading, equity research centre, derivative trading, depository services, technical analysis, portfolio management services, commodity futures, IPO bidding centre, NRI cell and insurance services.
