Mangalore, Dec 8: The Communist Party of India CPI (M), Karnataka state committee held a protest against the procedure of 'Made Snana' at Kukke Subramanya Temple, and the discrimination in food serving at Udupi Sri Krishna temple and insisted on passing the superstition bill  in front of the DC's office here on Sunday December 8 at 10:30 am.

"From the past 2- 3 years we have been protesting against this issue and we have not recieved any response from the Government. When we protested at the Sri Krishna Temple Udupi, police arrived at the spot and lathi-charged the mob; they also put a case on us which is yet to be resolved," K R Sriyan CPI (M) state secretariat member said.

He also added that "When BJP was the ruling party we sent complaints but to no avail. The High Court had also ordered to stop the practices, but the BJP Government have turned their backs. During that stage the BJP did not do anything neither is the current Congress party doing anything. This is against our culture. Children are being sacrificed and Government is not bothered about it."

Sunil Kumar Bajal DYFI state president, B M Bhat CPI (M) state leader, Krishnappa Salyan, Yadav Shetty and others were also present at the protest.
