Mangalore: Literary fest ‘Jana Nudi’ to be held on Dec 14-15

Mangalore, Dec 9: “Literature should be the voice of the people and suppressed class but presently literature and art are in the hands of capitalists, depriving the poor class of this. Literature, religion, and politics should merge with each other. Literature should be free from fundamentalism and capitalism. Hence, emphasizing these issues, a forum of like-minded people ‘Abimatha Mangalore’ will hold a literary fest called ‘Jana Nudi’ , with the caption  ‘Nudiyu Sirialla, Baduku’( Words are not richness, life)”, said H S Anupama, litterateur.

She was addressing a press meet held here on Sunday December 8.

She also said, “Hence, like-minded people will be joining ‘Jana Nudi’ literature fest which will be held for two days on Saturday December 14 and Sunday December 15 at Kalangann, Shakthinagar. Eminent writers throughout the state will participate in this. Various sessions on topics like ‘Mahile-Varthama Mathu Chaluvali’, ‘Samakalina Savulugalu- Sadyathegalu’, ‘Janasankruthi Mathu Marukate’, and Karavaliya Tallanagalu.”

“Funds for this programme will be collected from various college students, teachers, and like-minded voluntary associations. The budget of the conference is expected to be about Rs 80,000. Moreover, 180 to 200 representatives will participate in this programme,” she added.

On this occasion, Jyothi Chelayooru, litterateur, and Jeevanraj Kuthar, Abhimatha Mangalore, were present.
