Beltangady: Apr 23: Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaaraswamy, who visited Dharamasthala on Saturday, April 22, said that the government is considering the proposal of upgrading the Mangalore Airport to international standards. Discussions are on he said adding that a meeting will be called soon with the union minister for aviation.
Kumaaraswamy said that there has not been any kind of hurdle from the state government over the laying of foundation stone for the ONGC special economic zone project.
The government will soon show an end to the naxal menace in the undivided Dakshina Kannada district. All efforts will be made to achieve social justice and to provide encouragement to youth, he said.
The CM had a darshan of Lord Manjunatha and was accompanied by Dharmadikari of Dharmastala D Veerendra Heggade.
