Mangalore, Dec 10: The new 550 Sq feet office premises of CASK at Pio Mall, Bijai Church Road, was inaugurated and blessed by Fr Cyprian (Capuchin), superior of St Anne’s Capuchin Friary-Bejai on Monday December 9.

CASK has been functioning for the last 100 years from a small booth at Catholic Centre at Hampankatta and is now moving to the more spacious office at Pio Mall.

The ownership of the new CASK office was made possible by the generous donation of the Pinto family of ‘Rosedale’ Mangalore who contributed Rs12 lakhs – 50% of the total cost, in memory of their parents, the late Jerome and Iris Pinto. The inauguration of the new office through cutting of the ribbon was jointly done by the President, Secretary and Treasurer of CASK along with Trevor Pinto representing the Pinto family. Fr Cyprian blessed the new office premises.

Later in the evening, to crown a day of happy developments for CASK, Captain John Prasad and Sunita Menezes hosted a dinner  party to thank the CASK Governing and Centenary Committee members for their contribution to the successful grand launch of the centenary celebration on September 22, 2013 and to thank the donors and well-wishers of CASK. The venue, the open air lawn of Mangalore Club, provided the pleasant ambience for an evening of music and dance.
