Mangalore, Apr 24: The Brahmakalashabhisheka of Kadri Manjunatha Temple planned between April 24 and May 4 is likely to be a grand event. The 11-day festivities have been planned meticulously and preparation for the same is progressing full swing.

The temple is being decorated by devotees with festoons made of mango leaves.

 

The mahadanda rudrabhisheka and maharudrayaga will be held on May 2 in the presence of Kadri Mathadipati Raja Sandhyanathiji and Derebail Vittaldas Tantri.

The thorana muhurtha and ugrana muhurtha will be held on Monday and will be inaugurated by former minister Amarnath Shetty.

The chaturveda divya parayana will be inaugurated by Sode math swamiji Vshwothamateertha, while minister for animal husbandry and medical education Dr V S Acharya will inaugurate Yajnika programme.

Religious ceremonies will be held from 7 pm to 9 pm everyday.

A constellation of dignitaries are expected to grace the event. PVS Beedies chairman Madhusudhan D Kushe, MLA’s J Krishna Palemar and Shakkunthala T Shetty, Adichunchanagiri swamiji Balagangadharanatha, Manila Sridhama swamiji Mohandasa, Ramachandrapur math swamiji Raghaveshwar Bharati, Alvas’s Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva, former VC MAHE Dr B M Hegde, Pejawar math swamiji Vishveshateertha, chairman Nitte Education Trust Vinay Hegde,chairman VRL Vijay Shankeshwar, Dharmastala Dharmadikari D Veerendra Heggade and many others will participated in the ceremonies.
