Mangalore, Apr 25: "Diesel prices have been increasing on a regular basis in the last few years. If this continues in the same manner for long, public will have a lot of problems to face. Now once again a hike of Rs 7.60 has been proposed by the oil companies. If this hike is accepted, then bus owners will be at the receiving end," stated a press release by Dakshina Kannada Bus Owners Association.
Stating this association secretary Aziz Partipady said that the government should take suitable steps to keep the oil prices steady. Diesel prices have been hiked by Rs 17 in the last two years. "If this continues in the same vein, bus owners may have to abandon their profession itself," he added.
