Mangalore, Apr 25: The Anti-rowdy squad police led by inspector Vinay Gaonkar on Saturday April 22 have arrested one person for illegally preparing pellets out of lead at Labours Colony near Shaktinagar.

The arrested has been identified as Haridas (36).  He used to prepare pellets out of lead and sell them to certain persons to use in the indigenous guns.  These guns are usually used for hunting.

The police raided his shed on Saturday after receiving a sure tip off.  The police also seized 736 kgs of lead including pellets and blocks.  The total value of the seized material is estimated at Rs 60,000.

The Mangalore rural police have registered a case in this regard.
