Mangalore, Apr 26: Just when some political parties and fundamental Hindu organizations are justifying attacks on worship places of minority communities, especially of Christian community, CPI (M) has condemned such attacks.

The Dakshina Kannada district CPI (M) committee in a press release stated that such attacks are very dangerous to the secular fabric of the society.

One could recall here that while Shanti Nilaya at Balmata had been attacked twice in 7 days, a BCI prayer hall at Bantaguri near Modankap too was ransacked by some fundamental Hindu organizations.

A high level delegation of CPI (M) party visited Shanti Nilaya and took stock of the things there.  Later the delegation appealed the police to see that such incidents are not repeated in the future.

CPI (M) district secretary K R Shriyan, members Abraham Karkada, K Yadav Shetty, Krishnappa Konchadi, Muneer Katipalla, Sunil Kumar Bajal and Dayanand Shetty were the members of the delegation.
