Mangalore, Apr 26 (4-30 am): "It is now time for divorce for JD (S)-BJP alliance.  Their honeymoon period is coming to an end.  Owing to the vast gulf between their ideologies, they are not able to continue in tandem for long.  Already they have started washing their dirty linen in public," said Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president and former home minister of the state Mallikarjun Kharge here on Tuesday.

He was speaking to the mediapersons during his short visit to the city on his way to Kerala for election campaign on Tuesday April 25 morning.

When JD (S) and BJP forged an alliance 3 months ago most of people had said that this unholy alliance would not go on for long. "The time is arrived now with chief minister and BJP state president criticizing each other through the media.  The chief minister is already talking about going for elections.  If they are ready for elections, then even Congress is ready to go to polls," he added.

Former ministers B K Chandrashekhar, Ramanath Rai, Blasius D'Souza, KPCC general secretary Manjunath Bhandari, youth Congress leader Bondala Jagannath Shetty, corporators Purandaradas Kulur, Naveen D'Souza, Mahabala Marla and others were also present at the media meet.
