Dubai, Apr 26: Mangalore Konkans - Dubai, is one of the longest-serving community organizations in Dubai, which is now on the threshold of completing 18 succesful years.

It is gearing up for an event which will bring Goan and Mangalorean artistes together on one stage. To add spice, the Me-Mo-Ri Trio was to take part according to the earlier announcement. However, on account of the artistes' other engagement in another Gulf country, the programme will now have the "Dolla-Kulla" duo, the sensational comedy pair from Mangalore.

The duo has never before performed together in Dubai but have been featured in several Wilfy, Claud and other shows in the past.

Mangalore Konkans have released the tickets last week which will cost Dhs 100, Dhs 50 and Dhs 30.

The venue as mentioned in earlier news release, the Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, is a fantastic place to host cultural programme with excellent seating and sound arrangements and is a theatre-type venue. This is the first ever major Konkani programe to be held here.

To enteratin the music-lovers of UAE, Lorna from Goa, Reena from Mumbai, Rony D`Cunha from Kuwait and Claud D`Souza from Mangalore will feature in this event.

Ancito, a comedian and singer, will be another centre of attraction.

Music will be rendered by famous West Breeze group led by Robert Viegas and Norman from Goa.

Expecting a huge crowd at the venue and considering the variety of entertainment, the show has been named 'Me-Ga' which means the Mangaloreans and the Goans meet in the name of music and enterainment

Konkani music-lovers in the UAE, remember to reserve you date for the event. It's on Friday,  May 12,2006 from 6.00 pm.
