18 Iranians killed in Iraq terrorist attack


Tehran, Dec 14 (IANS): At least 18 Iranian engineers and workers have been killed in a terrorist attack in Iraq, an Iranian official said Saturday.

Nemat Nazparvardeh, deputy governor of Iran's Kermanshah province, made the announcement quoting Iraqi officials at the international Khosravi border point, IRNA reported.

Iraqi security forces had reported Friday that gunmen killed 16 Iranian gas workers during a terrorist attack in Diyala province.

The gunmen came in three cars and attacked the Iranian and Iraqi engineers and other workers on a gas project.

At least four people were also injured in the attack.
