Puttur, Apr 27: On charges of flouted the Supreme Court’s order to shift trade to the Agriculture Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) yard, the Puttur APMC raided several trade outlets on Wednesday April 26.
Following the raid, cases were booked against four traders.

With this move by the APMC, the existing tussle between the dealers in agriculture produce and the committee has been fueled.

The committee refused to renew the trade licenses of the traders who did not conduct trade within the APMC yard. Out of the 100 traders registered with the APMC only 60 have shifted business into the APMC yard.

The committee intends to continue its raids if the traders fail to shift to the APMC yard.
