Puttur, May 1: A pedestrian woman, who had sustained serious injuries after being hit by a private bus on Saturday April 29, breathed her last in a hospital here on Sunday April 30.

Savitramma (45), a resident of Nelyadi had been knocked down by private bus going to Mangalore from Bangalore on Saturday at Nelyadi as she was walking beside National Highway 48.  As a result she sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the hospital.

However, she succumbed to the injuries on Sunday afternoon.  The Uppinangady police have registered a case against the bus driver in this regard.
