Mumbai, Dec 24 (IANS): A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 7.76 points or 0.04 percent up during the pre-noon trade Tuesday.
Good buying was seen in capital goods and healthcare sectors, while selling pressure was seen in metal sector.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 21,127.66 points, was trading at 21,108.79 points in the pre-noon session, up 7.76 points or 0.04 percent from the last trading day's close at 21,101.03 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 21,156.92 points, and a low of 21,073.09 points during the trade so far.
The S&P BSE capital goods index gained 104.36 points and healthcare index augmented by 74.27 points. However, metal index dropped by 121.88 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading flat at 7 points or 0.11 percent and was trading at 6,291.50 points.
