Mumbai, May 6: After more than 4 months of preparation, the day finally came for the youth of Orlem, who on April 30, 2006 came together under the name of YO (Youthful Orlem) – Theatre Division, to stage their first ever Hindi comedy, Kya? Aisa Bhi Hota Hai?

A total spoof on the typical Saas Bahu serials, the show entertained more than 400 people. The audience included people not only from Orlem, but across Mumbai and was demanding a repeat of this play as they simply couldn’t get over it.

Many, quite believe that catholic youth cannot speak Hindi. The play proved them all wrong.

All the way from writing a Hindi play to staging it was done solely by the youth without any professional help. The show was for a cause i.e. rebuilding of homes of the flood affected victims in Raigad.

The team which put up the spectacular play had Elane and Michelle Corda doing the make up and Pearl D’Souza and Roshini Aranha who played vital role in production work.
