Subramanya, May 6: Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar is on a two-day visit to a famous temple near Mangalore to perform religious rituals.
Tendulkar, accompanied by family members, including his wife Anjali, offered special pooja and "Sarpa Sanskara" ritual at the Shree Kukke Subramanya temple near Mangalore today.
Other rituals, "Ashlesha Bali" and "Naga Pratishte", are slated to be performed tomorrow.
The master blaster arrived in Mangalore yesterday afternoon and visited Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and the family had darshan of Lord Majunatheshwara there. He also met Veerendra Heggade, the Dharmadhikari of Dharmasthala.
Tendulkar is recovering from a shoulder injury and missed the recent one-day series against England. He is also sitting out the five one-dayers against the West Indies, beginning later this month.
