Abu Dhabi, May 7: Konkani Cultural Organization, Abu Dhabi's only Mangalorean association, has chalked out plans to present its annual event - the 'Mangalorean Day' on May 26.

As usual, in its pursuit to bring something new every time to the Konkani music-lovers in Abu Dhabi and around, this year too KCO is encouraging young and experienced singing talents from Konkani arena.



Lorna - Rony


The star attraction of the show is appearance of Goan legendary singer Lorna, a singer who has made a name among not only Goan but Mangalorean and other regional Konkani audience.

"It was our long-cherished dream to bring Goan and Mangalorean artistes under one stage. As everyone know, Lorna has a huge fan following among Mangaloreans too. Though the title of the programme says 'Mangalorean Day', the event has entry for all..," says Michael D`Silva president of KCO.


Anjelina - Maxim Pereira

"Rony D`Cunha is performing for the second consecutive year. He is widely known as the best young performer around in Konkani music. He has been featured in Dubai, Bahrain and Doha quite frequently, and no doubt he is a man in demand," he say.

"Anjelina , the local talent, who has plenty of experience in performing in major shows in Dubai, Mumbai and elsewhere is also part of the Mangalorean Day's performing team. Maxim Periera of 'Manasa' fame who is currently settled in Dubai is also featured in the show"



Ronald Olivera

Ronald Olivera, the veteran, award-winning toastmaster will compere the show for the first time in Abu Dhabi.

'West Breeze' music led by Robert Viegas will direct the music. Apart from music, there will also be spot prizes, dances and other entertainment events
