Mumbai, May 10: In the recent past there appears to be a conspiracy to denigrate, degrade and deride Christianity especially through the medium of films. On the one hand stories are being fabricated questioning the life of our Lord Jesus Christ and the basic tenets of Christianity whereas on the other hand, Priests and Nuns are depicted in highly immoral acts including obnoxious sex scenes with a deliberate intention of showing them in poor light so as to make them objects of public ridicule and disrespect, says a press release from Bombay Catholic Sabha (BCS).

The Bombay Catholic Sabha takes serious note of the evil designs of the perpetrators of such malicious propaganda against one of the worlds most respected religions, says the release.

The BCS has already conveyed its displeasure and strong protest to the various authorities in the State and Central Government. It has also written to the chief minister and deputy chief minister of Maharashtra in this regard and would be meeting them within a day or two.

In case the government does not take immediate steps to stop the screening of the two films namely 'Da Vinci Code' and 'Tickle my Funny Bone', says the BCS, it will mobilize thousands of community members and stop the screening of these films on their own.
