Mangalore, May 10: The inauguration of the new building of Al-Azhariya Jumma Masjid at Kulavoor near Kuppepadavu will take place on Thursday May 11 here. The mosque has been built at an estimated cost of Rs 5.5 lac.
Speaking to reporters here, Kulavoor Jumma Masjid khateeb B M Aboobakkar Musliyar informed that a three-day religious discourse will be held as part of the occasion from Tuesday May 9 to Thursday May 11. An all-religion harmony convention will also be held during the valedictory and the inauguration will also be done at the same time.
The annual 'Swalat' programme will be held on Thursday May 11 night. Assayyad Abdurahman Sadat Thangal, khateeb of M J M Kiloor will lead the proceedings.
K S Attakoya Thangal, Kumbol will inaugurate the mosque. The function will be presided over by Kaveri Vidyalaya Kuppepadav convener M I Kulavoor. Ullal Aboobakkar Cherukunh Thangal and Abdul Ghani Barakati will bless the ceremony.
Among those present at the press meet were Putthu Monu, president, Jumma Masjid committee and convener Mohammed.
