Mumbai, Jan 14 (IANS): A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 63.67 points or 0.30 percent down in the pre-noon trade Tuesday.
Selling pressure was seen in IT, auto and metal sectors, while marginal good buying was seen in capital goods sector.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 21,115 points, was trading at 21,070.54 points in the pre-noon session, down 63.67 points or 0.30 percent from the previous day's close at 21,134.21 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 21,154.76 points and a low of 21,055.01 points during the trade so far.
The S&P BSE IT index dropped by 86.32 points, auto sector plummeted by 73.10 points and metal sector dipped by 45.68 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading flat at 18.65 points or 0.30 percent down at 6,254.10 points.
