Mangalore, May 12: Manikantha (26), a civil diploma engineer from Kinnigoli in the taluk, ended his life by hanging himself with a nylon rope in a lodging house in Belman.

He was supervising civil work of a house under construction. He is said to have been injured in an accident recently and was distressed over the recurring expenses of treatment.

Karkala rural police have registered a case in this connection.
