Karkala, May 13: A group of Naxals allegely attacked a house of a teacher at Nadpalu near Hebri here on Saturday May 13 morning and damaged TV set after firing bullets at the house.
The Naxalites attacked the house of one Bhoja Shetty who is a teacher presuming him to be a police informer. They fired bullets at the house as as result of which the TV set in the house was damaged. However, no other damage or casualties have been reported.
There were 16 Naxals in the group. One of them entered the house and asked Bhoja Shetty to come out to talk. But the latter did not come out. So two more Naxals including one women entered the house started searching for Bhoja Shetty. In the meantime, the woman Naxal fired bullets at the TV and damaged it.
Later they disappeared in the forest. Though Bhoja Shetty's son tried to follow them in the car, they fired bullets at the car and disappeared. While leaving the Naxals have left behind a handbill in the house.
