Chennai, May 14: The new DMK government in Tamil Nadu on Saturday night revoked the suspension of IAS officer Syed Munir Hoda who was suspended by the AIADMK government on charges of attempting to help PDP leader Abdul Nazar Madhani.

Hoda was the Home secretary when he was suspended two years ago.

He would be secretary to Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, an official press release said.

T R Ramasamy, commissioner for disciplinary proceedings, Nagercoil, who was secretary to Karunanidhi during his earlier tenure as Chief Minister, has been posted as another secretary to the Chief Minister.

A retired IAS officer, K Rajamanickam, and a retired additional secretary, K Shanmuganathan, would also be secretaries to Karunanidhi, the release added.
