Dubai, May 16: Billawas Dubai had organized a fun filled Annual get-together at Al Massa Apartments on 11.05.2006 in a grand style.
This annual get-together was organized for all the committee members and their families as well as for all the Grand Patron members and their families. This party was sponsored by prominent Billawa Patrons who are part of the present Committee.
The function started at 10.00 pm sharp with a welcome speech by the President Umesh Kuckian followed by a fun game for bachelors. This was followed by games for couples.
Highlight of the party was the grand inauguration of “Billawas Dubai” web site. This site was inaugurated by Prasanna Kuckian and Dr. Sachitha Attavar along with Pravin Kumar & Manohar Tonse .
Mohan Attavar who was instrumental in creating this site took the audience on a brief tour of the site by explaining various features of this web site. Through this web site Billawas Dubai has now opened their door to the world. This site can be accessed by typing www.billawasdubai.com.
Members from the founders group of “Billawa Balaga” Jaya Kunder, Vasanth Thumbe and Satish Ullal were honoured for their initiative and dedication by Shodhan Prasad of Billawa Balaga Abu Dhabi.
Ganesh Urva, Vaman Poojary, Devdas Suvarna, Dinesh Poojary and Umanath Poojary were also honoured by Udaya Kumar and Mohan Attavar for their all-round services to the welfare of the community.
Two newly married couple Jagannath & Deepa Jagannath and Sudhakar Poojary & Jayashri Sudhakar were greeted in a true Billawa tradition with bouquet and gift by Jagannath & Sunita Anchan and Kishore Kotian respectively and couples were blessed for a happy and prosperous married life.
In his short speech Manohar Tonse lauded the activities and achievements of Billawas Dubai .
This was followed by various games for children, bachelors and couples. A special game Boda-Bodcha (deal or no deal was the main attraction for the audience). The skit played by Yogesh and Kishore was fantastic and indeed appreciable.
Manohar Thonse & Family, Shodhan Prasad & Family, Jagannath Anchan, & Family, Kishore Kotian , Dayanand Bangera & Family and Suresh Salian. graced the occasion as part of Billawa Balaga Abu Dhabi who were special invitees for this get-together.
Delicious Dinner was served at around 12 mid night which was very well organized by Jagannath Bellare of Dasa Prakash Restaurant.
Shodhan Prasad attracted the audience with his dance and his style of conducting the bingo game.
The get-together was concluded with presentation of prizes to winners by Suresh Amin, Satish Poojary, Ganesh Urva, Umanath Poojary,Dayanand Bangera & Suresh and vote of thanks from General Secretary Satish Poojary.
