Karkala, May 16: Gramotsava, a unique festival organized by Kurpady Yuva Vrinda was held at Ajekar near here on Monday May 15. This for the seventh consecutive year that Gtamotsava is held at Ajekar.
State award winning educationalist and the constitution maker of Kambala Gunapala Kadamba presided over the fest.
Dr Santosh Kumar, ZP member and a eminent social worker inaugurated the festival. He appreciated the spirit of the rural youth to organize this function in a rural area like Ajekar.
Maurice Tauvro, retired head master, Ratnavathi Nayak, president of BJP women's wing of Udupi district was present as guests on the occasion.
Preethi Bolla, a state Level sports person, Janardhna Nayak, yakshgana artist and lecturer at Nitte Engineering College, Sujatha Nayak, Bharatha Natya Vidhushi, lecturer at Dhavala College were given Gramotsava Youth Award.
