Mangalore, May 19: Seema Jyoti D'Souza (18), a resident of Varkady near Manjeshwar died of serious burn injuries on Thursday May 18 at Wenlock Hospital here.
She had sustained serious burn injuries after setting herself ablaze on Wednesday May 17 night at her relative Juliana D'Souza's house at Uliya near Ullal here. Though no reasons are yet known for her suicide, it is said that she was depressed following the death of her parents. Some sources said that while her father had passed away 5 years ago, her mother had passed away a couple of years ago. Ever since she was living with her aunt Juliana at Uliya.
Juliana D'Souza has filed a case with the Ullal police in this regard.
