New Delhi, Jan 31 (IANS): A foggy morning gave way to a pleasant, sunny Friday in the national capital as the maximum temperature settled a notch below the season's average at 21.1 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is expected Saturday, the Met office has said.

"There will be light fog early morning tomorrow (Saturday) but the day would be sunny," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 21 and 10 degrees Celsius," added the official.

A foggy Friday morning in Delhi affected train operations as the visibility dropped to 300 metres at 8.30 a.m.

According to Northern Railway, 15 trains arriving into Delhi were running late Friday evening.

Thursday's minimum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 10.2 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded a notch below the season's average at 20.5 degrees Celsius.
