Mangalore, May 20:
Ranga Sudarshana in collaboration with Tulu Sahitya Academy will organise Tuluvadarshana, a programme to depict the socio-cultural life of the region, on Saturday May 20 and Sunday May 21 at Sasihitlu village here.
 
Speaking to reporters here on Friday May 19, Paramananda Salian of Ranga Sudarshana informed that the inauguration will be done by former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat Harikrishna Punaroor and Alva's Education Foundation founder chairman Dr Mohan Alva.

The inaugural function will be presided over by MLA Abhayachandra Jain while Kemaru Esha Vithaladasa Swamiji will bless the occasion.

A felicitation ceremony will be held to honour native medicine practitioner Dr N T Anchan, environmentalist Rajiv Salyan, progressive farmer Shankar Rai, artist Dinakar Bangera and yoga practitioner B R Pandit.

A Tulu poets' meet will also a part of the programme, Salyan informed. Noted writers like Chidambara Baikampady, Pramila Kapikad and others will take part in the meet. Other programmes include kite flying competition and Tulu quiz.

The valedictory programme, to be held Sunday May 21, will be presided over by Tulu Sahitya Academy president Seetaram Kulal.

Among those present at the press meet was Tulu Sahitya Academy Registrar Dr Dugappa Kajekar.
