Karkala, May 21: As her name suggests, careerwise, she is in full bloom.
Lt Prafulla Menezes has once again proved that only the sky is the limit for her. She has already scaled a coveted height by becoming the first woman lieutenant actively serving in the Indian Army from the district.
Now she has added another feather to her already glittering cap. Having passed with the first rank in the recently held examinations, Prafulla Menezes has been promoted to the rank of Captain. Currently she has been placed at Indian Military Academy at Dehradun where she will render her services in the coming days.
Prafulla Menezes is the daughter of Mary (nee Menezes of Shirva) and Felix Menezes (former vice president, Town Municipal Council of Karkala). Besides Prafulla, the youngest in the family, her siblings Albert, Alexander and Annet
