Kejriwal joins students over Nido Tania's death

New Delhi, Feb 4 (IANS): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Tuesday joined a protest by students from the northeast over the death of Nido Tania and assured them speedy justice in the case.

"The magisterial inquiry will be over within 3-4 weeks and the truth will be revealed. If policemen are also involved, we will come to know that too," Kejriwal said at Jantar Mantar here.

Tania died last week after he was beaten up by shopkeepers in a south Delhi market. The victim's friends say it was a racial attack.

The chief minister said the magisterial inquiry was important as police could have "hushed up" the case.

"Nido's fight is the fight of every Delhiite. It's the fight of every countryman," he added.
