Mangalore, May 23: The thieves who broke open into one Philiph Pereira's house at Pandeshwar here have decamped with valuables and ornaments on Sunday May 21 night.  However, the value of the stolen things is not yet established.

Philiph Pereira's house is situated at Dhoomappa Compound at Pandeshwar.  It was only a couple of days ago he had gone to Mumbai to attend a marriage along with his wife.  Only his wife's sister and her children were at home when the theft took place.

They were sleeping in the bedroom on the first floor and they did not about the thieves breaking into the house.  It was only in the morning that they came to know about the theft.  The thieves had entered the house breaking the door latch.

However, the total value of the stolen things is not yet established as no one is sure as what are things that have been stolen.  The exact details about the stolen things will be available only once the house owner Philiph Pereira comes home from Mumbai, said Pandeshwar police who are investigating the case.
