Mumbai, Feb 11 (IANS): A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 65.25 points or 0.32 percent up in the pre-noon trade Tuesday.
Good buying was seen in IT, auto, banking index (bankex) and consumer durables sectors.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 20,400.94 points, was trading at 20,399.52 points in the pre-noon session, up 65.25 points or 0.32 percent from the previous day's close at 20,334.27 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 20,443.35 points and a low of 20,353.41 points during the trade so far.
The S&P BSE IT index gained 98.64 points, auto index moved up by 80.26 points, bankex inched up by 58.06 points and consumer durables index augmented by 58.43 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading flat at 16.85 points or 0.28 percent up at 6,070.30 points.
