New Zealand 571/6, lead by 325 runs at close


Wellington, Feb 17 (IANS): New Zealand were 571 for six and led by 325 runs at the close of play on day four of the second and final Test at the Basin Reserve here Monday.

Skipper Brendon McCullum (281 batting) and B.J. Watling (124) strung together a partnership of 352 runs, the highest for the sixth wicket, to put the hosts in control.

Pacer Mohammad Shami picked up the only wicket to fall in the day.
