Chennai, May 25: Indian today announced introduction of more direct flights to Gulf countries from South India from June one this year.

A release here said Indian would be operating daily direct flights in the Chennai-Dubai and Kozhikode-Dubai sectors, while providing a new link between Thiruvanthapuram and Kuwait every Wednesday.

Indian had also increased its frequency from the present four flights a week to six flights between Thiruvananthapuram and Sharjah, the release said here.

In the Chennai-Dubai sector, IC 905 would leave Chennai at 2000 hrs daily and arrive Dubai at 2230 hrs (local time). In the return direction, IC 906 would leave Dubai at 1345 hrs (local time) and arrive Chennai at 1900 hrs.

On the Kozhikode-Dubai sector Indian would operate a daily flight instead of twice a week. IC 538 would leave Kozhikode at 1015 hrs and arrive Dubai at 1245 hrs (local time).

In the return direction, IC 537 would leave Dubai at 0200 hrs (local time) and arrive Kozhikode at 0700 hrs.

The release said IC 589 would leave Thiruvananthapuram at 1345 hrs every Wednesday and arrive Kuwait, via Sharjah, at 1805 hrs (local time). In the return direction, IC 590 would leave Kuwait every Thursday at 0050 hrs (local time) and arrive Thiruvananthapuram at 1000 hrs (via Sharjah).
