Margao, May 25: Industries Minister, Luizinho Faleiro has said he does not belong to any camp in the ongoing power struggle witnessed in the party, saying he belongs only to the Congress camp.

“My loyalty is with the Congress party and not any individuals and camps”, he said, when newsmen asked him whether he belongs to the Babush Monserrate and Ravi Naik camps or neither of them.

In an informal chat with newsmen, Faleiro said he has devoted all this time ad energy to work for the development and welfare of the people and has no time for political games.

Asked whether he has his own camp within the Congress party, besides the two prominent groups, Faleiro shot back “I am not interested in these games. I am not an aspirant either for the post of Chief Minister or to head the party organization”.

Power Minister, Digambar Kamat, who arrived in the state from Delhi, said his visit to the National Capital has got nothing to do with any political moves. “No doubt, many a Congressmen were present in the same flight to Delhi, but my visit to the national capital was in connection with my meeting with the Union Power Minister, Sushil Kumar Shinde and other matters”, he added.

Sources, however, said Kamat along with other prominent Congress leaders did call on the AICC general secretary in charge of Goa desk, Margaret Alva on Wednesday.
