Mumbai, May 25: Bollywood star Aamir Khan, who is in the eye of a storm after his latest film Fanaa was banned in Gujarat, on Thursday said he would not apologise for his statement demanding rehabilitation of people affected by the Sardar Saroavar dam.

Addressing a press conference in Mumbai, Aamir said that by apologising, he would be letting down all people who would lose houses and land to the mega-dam and whose voices he had aired by demanding proper rehabilitation.

"I want to tell the people of Gujarat that I have lots of love for them ... In fact, the people should join me in taking up the cause of thousands of people who are losing homes and lands due to the (Sardar Sarovar) dam."
