Times News Network
Mumbai, May 25:There was a shock wave in the film industry and the whole nation yesterday. An unauthenticated news item on a certain website sent shivers down everyone’s spine. Yes, rumours spread like wild fire that Aishwarya Rai had been killed in a car accident in London. All messages and calls going to Ash’s number were jammed, because her well-wishers, friends, Bollywood folk and fans from across the country was trying to reach her, hoping against hope that Ash was still there at the other end.
Obviously, the news was untrue, because Ash was busy shooting in Chennai. She came to Mumbai for one day last week, only to celebrate her mom’s birthday and brother, Aditya’s wedding anniversary, and flew back to Chennai the next morning to join the unit of Mani Ratnam’s ‘Guru’. Vrinda Rai (Ash’s mom) sounding rather disgusted at this unfounded piece of news said, “Everything is fine.
This is just a baseless rumor. I have no clue where all this came from.” A confirmation from her family comes as a huge relief for all die-hard Ash fans. Sometime last week, there was a similar rumour about Shah Rukh Khan’s death that sent t he industry in to a panic mode. Good Lord...Save our stars! Now we’re left wondering, who ‘Provoked’ this nasty rumour about our lovely ice-maiden?
