GM launches new variants of Sail hatchback, sedan


New Delhi, Feb 23 (IANS): General Motors India Saturday launched a new variant of its Sail hatchback and sedan.

The new hatchback is priced between Rs.4.21 lakh and Rs.6.54 lakh, while the sedan is priced at Rs.5.07-7.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

"By offering bold new feature additions at no additional cost, we are confident that the two carlines will be even more appreciated by our esteemed customers," said Rajesh Singh, vice president, sales, marketing and after sales, General Motors India.

According to the company, the limited editions of hatchback and sedan sport new features like side body graphics, reverse parking sensors, outside rear view mirrors with blinkers.

The company added that the new variants are available at no additional cost over and above the prevailing February offers worth up to Rs.30,000 and the recent tax benefits of up to Rs.23,700 that have been passed on to the customers.

Sail hatchback and sedan are available with 'SMARTECH' diesel and petrol engines. The 1.3-litre 'SDE SMARTECH' common rail diesel engine comes with a fuel efficiency of 22.1 km per litre, whle the 1.2-litre 'SMARTECH' petrol engine returns a fuel efficiency of 18.2 km per litre.
