Mumbai, Feb 26 (IANS): A benchmark index of Indian equities markets was trading flat at 59.20 points or 0.28 percent up in the pre-noon trade Wednesday.
Good buying was observed in the capital goods and healthcare sectors, while selling pressure was seen in the metal sector.
The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 20,869.61 points, was trading at 20,911.67 points in the pre-noon session, up 59.20 points or 0.28 percent from the previous day's close at 20,852.47 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 20,939.27 points and a low of 20,860.02 points during the trade so far.
The S&P BSE capital goods index gained 89.12 points and healthcare index went up by 65.03 points. However, metal index plunged by160.98 points.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading flat at 14.55 points or 0.23 percent at 6,214.60 points.
