New Delhi, May 29: Apparently dissatisfied by the treatment he received, a patient shot dead a 28-year-old doctor outside a hospital in crowded Gole market area here on Sunday.

Rajesh, a private practitioner, was shot 13 times by Javed Ali who was being treated for some sexual disorder, police said.

Ali shot the doctor outside Kalavati Saran Hospital in New Delhi District at about 11:30 am, a senior officer said, adding that Rajesh was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

"Ali believed that he was impotent and thought that the doctor had ruined his case and his condition would never improve," Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi district) Anand Mohan said.

Ali tried to flee the scene of crime but was nabbed by a constable near the hospital.

"We have recovered two magazines and a gun from Ali," Mohan said.

He also added that they were investigating how Ali had managed to get hold of the gun.
