Nine killed in Pakistan blast


Islamabad, March 1 (IANS): At least nine people including three security personnel were killed Saturday in two separate incidents in Pakistan's Balochistan province.

Spokesman Frontier Corps, Khan Wasey told Dawn that a vehicle of security personnel was targeted through an improvised explosive device (IED) in Balochistan's Kalat district, reported Dawn online.

Wasey said three soldiers were killed on the spot.

He also said six soldiers were injured and the vehicle was destroyed in the attack.

In another incident, the spokesman said six militants were killed during an exchange of fire in Balochistan's Dera Bugti district.

He said the forces also recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the militants.
