Creamer wins HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore

Singapore, March 2 (IANS): US golfer Paula Creamer holed a 75-foot eagle putt on the second sudden-death playoff hole to win the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore Sunday, beating her powerful competitor, Spain's Azahara Munoz.

Creamer, world's No.11 and ranked No.5 before the fourth round began Sunday, finished 69 for 10-under-par 278. Munoz, world's No.32, finished 70 for the fourth round and shared the same result with Creamer, reports Xinhua.

The two golfers then entered the sudden-death playoff where Creamer sank the 75-foot eagle putt.

"I really didn't even watch the last four feet of it. I was just hoping it would slow down when it was near the hole and then it disappeared," said Creamer at the press conference after the game.

"I seriously cannot tell you the way I felt," she added.

It was Creamer's 10th career LPGA Tour win and snapped a 75-event winless drought since the 2010 US Women's Open.
