New Delhi, May 31 : Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Tuesday cautioned the BJP of its internal problems and called for a need for introspection to avoid any crisis.

"Bahar ka kabhi koi hamare liye sankat nahin ban sakta. Lekin ghar ka hi sankat paida ho jaye to jaroor kahin kuchh kami hai (We do not face external threat from anyone ever. But if someone from home creates crisis then there is some lacunae somewhere)," Vajpayee said in his address to the two-day BJP National Executive which concluded here.

Vajpayee's comments are significant in view of the recent banner of defiance unfurled by mass-based party leaders Babulal Marandi, Uma Bharti and Madan Lal Khurana.

He said that if people are not allowed to express their internal feelings at their work environment, then it indicates that there was something lacking.

Vajpayee also stressed the need for better coordination with allies in states being ruled by BJP so that the party grows there.

Stating that the BJP is ruling in these states in a responsible manner, he said that efforts should be made to improve performance to such a level so that the party was elected again.

He also called for better coordination between the organization and the government.

Vajpayee also paid homage to former party general secretary Pramod Mahajan, whom he had named as BJP's 'Lakshman'. He said that for Mahajan party was the highest entity and everything else was smaller than it.

He also lauded BJP President Rajnath Singh for taking everyone along.
