Mangalore, May 31: The valedictory of the state-level sub-junior and junior swimming championship, organised by Mangalore Aquatic and Mangala Swimming clubs was held on Tuesday May 30 at the corporation swimming pool premises.
Basavanagudi Aquatic Club won the overall team championships in the junior and sub-junior categories.
The function was presided over by city corporation commissioner K Chandrappa. Karnataka Swimming Association secretary Vijay Raghavan was the chief guest. The awards were distributed by entrepreneurs Karunakaran and Devanand Shetty.
Among those present were MCC opposition leader Muralidhar, Mangalore Aquatic and Mangala Swimming Organising Committee president Ravi S Shetty, Vittal Rao and Mangalore Aquatic Club coach Suresh Kumar.
